
RESEARCH FELLOW POSITION JOB POSTING
The VCU Health Division of Urology - Virginia Commonwealth University
The VCU Health Division of Urology is looking for an ambitious, and dedicated individual for a funded research fellow position available from January 1, 2020 for a period of minimum 6 months, and up to 12 months.
The fellow will be involved in several research project, mostly related to clinical outcomes related to the management of genitourinary cancers and robotic assisted surgery, using both institutional and national databases. Moreover, there will be opportunity to be involved in international multicenter collaboration. The supervisor for this position is Dr. Riccardo Autorino, Associate Professor of Urology and Director of Urologic Oncology at VCU Health.
The fellow will be involved in regular weekly research meetings, in addition to scientific and career mentoring, abstract and manuscript preparation. Our current research fellow is completing a successful 1-year tenure, with more than 25 peer-reviewed publications, and abstracts accepted at AUA, WCE, and EAU meetings. An ideal candidate would be a resident in Urology with interest for an academic carrier. Good analytical and planning skills, attention to detail, good scientific writing and verbal communication skills, ability to work well in a team, and a positive attitude are essential. Moreover, a minimal background in biostatistics and familiarity with statistical software are desired.
